They knew something wasn’t quite right, and our help desk team immediately knew it was a scam.

PC Matic customers must be advised, this email is not legitimate, and do not click on any of the link within the email.  If anyone clicks on the https:// link – it downloads a supremo.exe file which enables remote access control.  This control would then be given to the hackers, portraying themselves as PC Matic employees. It’s important to take advantage of the KnowBe4 security awareness training that is included in your PC Matic license to spot fake tech support scams like this one. If you need assistance getting access to the KnowBe4 security awareness training classes that come with your subscription, please contact our customer support team at pcmatic.com/help.

It is important, if you receive this email, you delete it immediately.  Please notify any other PC Matic users you know as well.

If you have already clicked the link, downloading the file, we advise you to delete it immediately.  To do so, you’ll need to go to your recent downloads, right click on the supremo.exe file, and select “delete”.
